Some of my longer term readers may remember when I started a contest whereby I would pay one of my readers $5 upon reaching 50 subscribers!

For those of you who thought that I had forgotten or was too frugal to pay out the huge sum of money I’m ashamed to say that it’s actually taken me all this time to reach the 50 subscribers mark. Despite receiving huge traffic my subscribers have hovered in the 40s range for far too long. A big part of this may be my dislike of enormous RSS feed icons, something that I feel would ruin the subtle nature of this design. Anyway, Round 1 of the contest is officially over, so it’s time to award the prize.

The $5 prize was selected randomly and goes to EmmaB, I hope that you are still keeping up with the blog :). I will be going to pay Emma after publishing this post, so please drop me a comment to let me know that you’ve received the $5.

Now! The contest doesn’t end here. Add stated in my original contest post I will be upping the prize for each round. Round 2 takes me from 51 to 100 subscribers, and the prize will be $10!
