Blogging Diary Week 2!
It’s that time of week again! This weeks blogging diary isn’t nearly as full as week 1, but I’m still really happy with the progress being made.
I should point new readers in the direction of Blogging Diary Week 1, which will explain what this post is all about.
The main drive behind my blogging efforts this past week is this post. I basically explain how I’m not going to try and get traffic for the sake of traffic, but rather to build up a solid readership and focus on ‘good’ traffic that will stick around.
The result of this new blogging mentality has resulted in a lower level of traffic, but a far higher quality of visitor, something which I’m proud of. So please don’t let these stats fool you, this blog still means business and I will be working to improve my posts constantly!

I believe that there was some downtime on Tuesday, which accounts for the drop in stats that day.
What is especially pleasing is my rising RSS subscriptions. It looks like my RSS contest will be progressing to the next round very soon:

Here is my daily account of what I did each day blogging. This week has been especially hectic at university so some days I only really had time to post and respond to comments:
Wednesday 13th February:
Page Views: 1090, Unique Visits: 651, Return Visits: 37, Subscribers: 30.
Thursday 14th February:
Page Views: 740, Unique Visits: 486, Return Visits: 40, Subscribers: 23.
Friday 15th February:
Page Views: 569, Unique Visits: 368, Return Visits: 32, Subscribers: 25.
Saturday 16th February:
Page Views: 342, Unique Visits: 231, Return Visits: 22, Subscribers: 30.
Sunday 17th February:
Page Views: 404, Unique Visits: 240, Return Visits: 27, Subscribers: 32.
Monday 18th February:
Page Views: 394, Unique Visits: 237, Return Visits: 28, Subscribers: 37.
Tuesday 19th February:
Page Views: 247, Unique Visits: 165, Return Visits: 17, Subscribers: 44.
And there you have it for Week 2. As you can see I’ve really not had much time this week, but the important lesson for me is that I kept on posting regardless! This is where most bloggers will fail - they can only handle the highs, and quit when things get hard. I’m determined to keep up my posting regardless of my traffic levels and time schedule, and I’m sure that in time this will allow the site to grow.
I also want to say thanks to all my loyal readers who keep coming back to listen to my ramblings :). You all make the effort worthwhile!
